Before I go any further about how well OSI managed my international move from Fredericksburg, VA all the way to “the land down under”, Australia, allow me to first introduce myself and then I’ll tell you everything about my pleasant experience with OSI.

My name is John Davis. My wife and I decided to move to Australia and we set a deadline of March 12, 2009, to be out of the house, rent it, and fly to Aus. This decision required us to find an international moving company to ship our belongings. The first company we contracted, (EO-N something), totally let us down – they never arrived on the date scheduled or any other rescheduled date. ‘Back to the drawing board – lesson learned.’

I personally know how frustrating, time consuming, scary, and difficult it can be with seeking a moving company who will faithfully arrive as scheduled and ship your cherished and valued possessions to their next destination.

The time I was using to find an int’l moving company was running out and quickly approaching our flight date to Australia. Therefore, I sent out over two dozen inquiries to various international moving companies. Several responded with “too good to be true” low estimates and some arrived to survey everything, but their price was 2-3 times more than what our belongings were worth.

Plus, I had to spend a huge amount of time checking out each companies background, their “reputation”, and their credentials. ‘Aspirin, anyone?’

To make a very long story short, only Ocean Star International Inc. (OSI) passed all of my requirements, especially their valid credentials and their Federal Maritime Commission license, (#021051N).

Mr. Kevin Reese, from Ocean Star International Inc., contacted me on January 21, 2009, the day before my birth day, and from then on, he never let me down. Everything was scheduled and completed in a timely manner. I let OSI set the schedule that worked within my short timeframe. I request “the works”, all fees and charges included, from start to finish, port to port, and door to door. The surveyor arrived as promised and I got a great price quote which included everything, except for the minimal quarantine inspection fee. Then, the moving packers arrived as scheduled on Feb. 17 and got everything out of the house within a few hours.

In less than 2 months, the shipping vessel arrived in port and our belongings were delivered to our residence on May 6, 2009, safe and sound.

Again, Kevin Reese, from Ocean Star International Inc., was with us every step of the way, providing information about our shipping vessel and its arrival date, updates on customs and quarantine inspections, and notifying us about the final delivery date of our possessions in our home.

I trusted Ocean Star International Inc. with our most valued possessions, moving everything safe and sound from one country to another, all within a reasonable and affordable price with no hidden or surprise fees.

That’s why I wrote this letter of recommendation about my experience with OSI, to save anyone out there the exhaustive time I spent and frustration I experienced with seeking a reliable and trustworthy international moving company.
